Mothering Sunday 31st March

Next Sunday is Mothering Sunday and our 10am service will be Worship Together for all the church family, with gifts of flowers for all the mums.

The 2019 full renewal electoral roll is now published and can be viewed at each of the three churches.

Open House Tea & Talk Club: Tuesday 26th March, 3 - 4pm

Following afternoon tea, Janet Templeman will give a talk/presentation on "Guiding Past and Present. Requests for your favourite hymns/ songs will also be taken for advance planning of the April meeting. Also note our next Mini Bus outing is on Thursday 30th May. All most welcome to join us. St. Barnabas’ Friendship Group: Wednesday 27th March, 2.30 pm

If you haven't been before, you are most welcome to come and enjoy the company of a nice group of people. Following a light-hearted discussion, in which there is no obligation to join in, we conclude with tea and home-made cake. If you would like a lift, phone Betty on 326710.


Mothering Sunday flowers

We need help please on Saturday 30th March at 10am in St. Swithun’s Hall to make posies for the Mothering Sunday service on March 31st. No artistic skills required! Deborah


Messy Easter: Fri 12th April, 11am – 1pm, St Luke’s

For families and others to explore Easter through crafts, activities and worship. Lunch provided. All welcome. Children must come with an adult.


Easter Holiday Club: Weds 17th and Thurs 18th April 10am – 2pm, St Swithun’s hall

For children aged 5 – 11. Registration forms available now. Adult help needed please. Deborah


PCC Secretary vacancy

St Swithun’s PCC is looking for a new Secretary. This is a voluntary position and you will need to be able to attend evening meetings to take minutes, and be comfortable with computers, email and the Internet. It’s an interesting and varied position and training will be given to the successful candidate. If you’re interested in the role, please speak to Revd Andrew Hawken, or to one of the Church Wardens, Linda Bryant or Dave Rosslee.


Christian Aid Week 12th-18th May 2019

A reminder to all our regular volunteers at St Swithun’s that Christian Aid week will be from the 12th to the 18th May. Easter this year is later so if anyone is away or unable to collect, can you please contact Sue Marriott on 01342 302932 / or Kelly Peaty on 07752 180019. We are always looking for new people to collect for this worthy cause, so if you would like to be involved please contact either Kelly or Sue on the above.


Fundraising for St Mary’s C of E Primary School

East Grinstead Street Pastors Daytime Patrol

The East Grinstead Street Pastors are looking to extend their service to a daytime patrol, to address the increasing issue of young people causing problems in town and open spaces after school. Street Pastors always patrol in small groups, and find that young people are happy to chat and are not at all threatening. Are you able to give some time to the service as and when you can?
